February was a fun month of learning! Here are a few highlights!
Chinese New Year
Rice sensory buckets was a favorite activity! Everyone enjoyed trying to use chopsticks to pick up small items in the rice!
Practicing writing Chinese Numbers was also a hit! This activity provided a lot of fun discussion about how Chinese numbers looked different than ours.
We had fun talking about the different animals in the Chinese Zodiac and their special character traits! We talk about how everyone in our class was born the Year of the Tiger.

Fairy Tale Week
The Three Little Pigs was a favorite story this week! If you've never read the version by Mark Teague and would like to borrow it to read it again at home, please ask! I'd love to lend it to you!
The Three Little Pigs art project was a favorite! Everyone enjoyed gluing bricks, sticks, and straw to their page and many drew their own versions of the story.
