On Monday we used Heavy Cream and a jar to make our own butter! We all took turns shaking the jar, and after about 10 minutes the cream had separated into butter and buttermilk. We then tried our butter on some saltines at snack time!
On Tuesday we made pretzels! We mixed up the dough and decided what shapes we each wanted our pretzels, then brushed them with egg, sprinkled on some salt, and baked them in the oven! They were very tasty!!
Connor brought in some tissue boxes for us to decorate. He and his family are going to donate them to a nursing home :)

You may notice the pumpkins on the cupboard in the above picture. Each month we will have a different paper available to the children to color, cut, and glue back together. For October we have Jack-O-Lanterns!

We also worked on punching out some holes with a hole puncher. Using a hole punch is a great way to build up your child's hand muscles and help them to learn how to write easier!
We worked on weaving some ribbons onto these mats
We played a game in which the kids could only use tweezers to move their beads and not their fingers!
We got some fun new little pop beads, and the kiddos discovered that they are very tricky to put together!
We also got these fun suction cup builders called 'Froogz' they were tons of fun to play with!
