We work on numbers 9 & 10 this week
On Monday we ripped up some old scrap papers (and took the shredded paper from the office!)
We added in some warm water and started mixing it all together
We used some hand mixers to help us along!
Once the paper was turned into pulp we put it in the blender to make it a bit more smooth. We then put some over a can with mesh on the top and squeezed out as much water as we could. We laid these paper circles out to dry and on Friday we were able to color on our homemade paper!
Coloring on our paper!
We played a game called "Wiggle and Giggle".....it was hard to get pictures that weren't blurry because they were too busy wiggling!
We used our geoboards to make shapes and numbers
We played Memory
And played with Froogz
We also played Yeti in My Spaghetti!
Fun with the balance blocks
We used the paint we made with our old markers to make some fun coffee filter flowers! Check them out in the hallway! Also in the hallway are our hand print butterflies! The kids picked how to paint one hand, then we talked a bit about symmetry and how butterfly wings are symmetrical. They them pressed their hands together and then made their hand prints on the paper!
Ava turned 5! Happy Birthday Ava!!
The kids were all pretty excited to have blue tongues!
Ceci built a sandcastle and gave it a seashell flag!
