We started out the week going on a Letter Walk! The kids had a lot of fun tracing the letters with their feet and saying the letter names.
We got out the Geoboards and used the rubber bands to try and make some shapes and letters!
Our letter of the week this week was the letter A!
This week ni our building study we were talking about what makes buildings sturdy. We got out the small and big Legos and made some sturdy buildings of our own!
We worked on our scissor skills during small group time, they are all getting so good at their cutting!
We also worked on matching up the beginning sounds of words, it was tricky without the letters to look at!
The kids spent most of Friday morning working on this creation! They had the puppets and animals sorted in the back, and you can see all the blocks sorted by color as well!
This week we also worked on some new artwork for the classroom. You might have noticed all the hearts have come down and our classroom is looking pretty bare!
We made some fun rainbows with our handprints and talked about what makes us lucky! You can find these hanging in the hallway by the stairs!
We also made some smaller rainbows and talked about what we would do if we found a Pot Of Gold! For this project I also took some fun pictures of the kids looking like Leprechauns!
(I promise they all had fun getting their picture taken, even if they look less than thrilled haha!)
We took some wax paper into the Rec Room this week and had lots of fun "Ice Skating" Miss Sally even got in on the fun!
We also got to bounce on these fun balls
