We have been working on writing our names and letters in the lines!
Hard at work finding the rhyming words
Trying to count as many and as high as we can
Our letter of the week was the letter Jj
The girls made some chairs in the Rec Room
Tatum and Maisie playing on the teeter totter!
All week long we have been working on some fun things to help our Peace Place be more peaceful and comfy! On Monday we made up these relaxing glitter bottles. We used: water, clear glue, cotton balls, food coloring, and LOTS of glitter!
On Wednesday we made two new pillows for our Peace Place, and on Thursday we used the leftover fleece and made a blanket for in the Peace Place too! The kids have let me know that they are very soft and snuggly!
Oh Thursday we also made some "Cool Down Cubes" the kids all came up with different ideas to help calm themselves down when they are upset, and ways to cheer themselves up when they are feeling sad. These will be in the peace place in a little bucket. There are also some of these ice cubes in the freezer and we talked about how if they are feeling upset they can take one out of the freezer and hold it to help cool down.
Our letter this week was Oo
We tried blowing cotton balls all across the room. They discovered that it was a lot easier to do on the hard floor than the carpet because the hard floor was "shiny" and "slippery"!
Marina worked very hard on this creation!
On Wednesday we went for a walk down to Great Harvest Bread Store and got a tasty treat!
Tatum and Marina hard at work on their dollhouses
Sammy and Maisie trying to walk with little pool noodles between their legs
Now they have some great beards!
The past two weeks we have been working on our cool drawing robots! First we gave them some silly faces and crazy waving arms!
Then we put in our robot "guts" which is an electric toothbrush! We then attached three markers with some rubber bands and our robots were ready to draw!
